Ɋɋ

The letter Ɋ ( lower case ɋ ) is a letter of the Latin writing system , consisting of a Q with a hooked tail. It was introduced by Lutheran missionaries to Papua New Guinea around 1930/1940 for the Numanggang language. In 2002 it was decided not to use the letter any longer.

In order to be able to archive and publish older publications electronically, Unicode contains the Q with a hooked tail at the code points U + 024A (upper case) and U + 024B (lower case).
