(1291) Phryne is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on September 15, 1933 by the Belgian astronomer Eugène Joseph Delporte in Ukkel .

The asteroid is named after the hetaera Phryne , who lived in the 4th century BC. Lived and was worshiped for its beauty.
