(13113) Williamyeats is an asteroid of the main belt , on 15 September 1993 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.

The asteroid was named on March 30, 2010 after the Irish poet and writer William Butler Yeats (1865-1939), who was the first Irishman to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923 and is often considered the greatest Irish writer of his time alongside James Joyce .
