(1342) Brabantia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 February 1935 by Dutch astronomer Hendrik van Gent in Johannesburg was discovered.
The name of the asteroid is derived from the Latin name of the historic Belgian-Dutch province of Brabant .
