(14217) Oaxaca is a Main Belt asteroid discovered by James M. Roe in Oaxaca de Juárez on November 10, 1999 . The asteroid was named after its discovery location Oaxaca, which is both the birthplace and home of Benito Juárez , the first indigenous president of Mexico .
