(14365) Jeanpaul is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 8, 1988 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian state observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named after the German writer Jean Paul (1763-1825).
