(1443) Ruppina is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on December 29, 1937 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth , who worked at the observatory on the Königstuhl near Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after the city of Neuruppin in Germany, the birthplace of the astronomer Martin Ebell .
