(1502) Arenda is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 17, 1938 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after the Belgian astronomer Sylvain Julien Victor Arend .
