(1557) Roehla is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 14, 1942 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth in Heidelberg .
The asteroid is named after the German-Swedish doctor Lars Ruehl in Heidelberg, out of gratitude for the health of the discoverer.
