(1698) Christophe is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on February 10, 1934 by the Belgian astronomer Eugène Joseph Delporte in Ukkel .
The asteroid is dedicated to the great-nephew of either the French astronomer Georges Roland or the Belgian astronomer Ginette Roland .
