(1928) Summa is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21 September 1938 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is derived from the then Finnish village of Summa on the Karelian Isthmus , a theater of war during the Finnish Winter War .
