(1989) Tatry ( 1955 FG ) is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on March 20, 1955 by the Czechoslovak astronomers Alois Paroubek and Regina Podstanická in the observatory Skalnaté Pleso .

designation

The asteroid was named after the High Tatras ( Slovak: Vysoké Tatry), the highest Slovak mountain range.
