(1991) Darwin is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on May 6, 1967 by the Argentine astronomer Carlos Ulrrico Cesco and his American colleague Arnold R. Klemola at the Carlos Cesco Observatory ( IAU code 808), a branch of the Felix Aguilar Observatory , discovered in Argentina .
The asteroid is named after the British naturalist Charles Darwin (1809–1882).
