(2452) Lyot is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 30 March 1981 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the French astronomer Bernard Ferdinand Lyot , the developer of the coronograph .
