(273273) Piwowarski is a main belt asteroid measuring about two kilometers . It was discovered on July 24, 2006 by Markus Griesser , director of the Winterthur Eschenberg observatory . In April 2013, the asteroid was named after the computer scientist Marcin Piwowarski (1984-2007) from Winterthur after the numbering by the Minor Planet Center by the discoverer with the official approval of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). As a computer specialist, he had concentrated on programming flight simulators. He was a pacifist, photographer, amateur astronomer and played as a drummer in a rock band.
