(29204) Ladegast is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on April 11, 1991 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian state observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) near the village of Tautenburg .

The asteroid was named on May 26, 2002 after the German organ builder Friedrich Ladegast (1818–1905), whose organ created in 1855 for the Merseburg Cathedral was the largest in Germany and inspired Franz Liszt to some of his great organ works.
