(30440) Larry is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 22 June 2000 by the Australian amateur astronomer John Broughton on Reedy Creek Observatory ( IAU code 428) in Queensland was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American entertainer Larry Fine (1902-1975), who was temporarily a member of the comedian group The Three Stooges .
