(3245) Jensch is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 27, 1973 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen in Tautenburg .
The asteroid is named after the German designer and astronomer Alfred Jensch . Alfred Jensch was chief designer in the development department for astronomical devices and planetariums at Carl Zeiss in Jena until 1977 .
