(3275) Oberndorfer is an asteroid of the main belt . He was discovered on April 25, 1982 by Edward L. G. Bowell at Anderson Mesa .

The asteroid was named after the German amateur astronomer Hans Oberndorfer . The name suggestion came from Lutz D. Schmadel , Helmut Schwaiger and Josef Stromeyer for his achievements in amateur astronomy.
