(4108) Rakos is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 16, 1989 by the research team Cornelis Johannes van Houten and Tom Gehrels as part of the Palomar-Leiden survey .

It was named in 1991 after the astronomer Karl Dragutin Rakos (1925–2011).
