(6528) Soil is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21 March 1993 by a team of astronomers over the UESAC at La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named on November 23, 1999 after the town of Boden in the Swedish province of Norrbotten County , the birthplace of Mats Lindgren, a member of the exploration team.
