(6537) Adamovich is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 19, 1979 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).
The asteroid was named after the Belarusian writer , critic and literary scholar Ales Adamowitsch (1927-1994), who in 1988 was one of the founding members of the human rights organization Memorial .
