(6655) Nagahama is an asteroid of the main belt , which on March 8, 1992 by Japanese astronomers Atsushi Sugie on Dynic Astronomical Observatory ( observatory code 402) in Shiga Prefecture was discovered.
The asteroid is named after Nagahama in Shiga Prefecture, the discoverer's birthplace on Lake Biwa .
