The Klinikum Lippe GmbH , based in Detmold , has a total of 1,198 beds made up of the operating locations Klinikum Lippe Detmold in Detmold, Klinikum Lippe Lemgo in Lemgo and the health center Lippe in Bad Salzuflen and is one of the largest municipal hospitals in Germany. The clinic is the academic teaching hospital of the University of Göttingen . Klinikum Lippe GmbH and Kreissenioreneinrichtungen Lippe GmbH are subsidiaries of Gesundheitsholding Lippe GmbH , of which the Lippe district is the sole shareholder . In July 2019, the cooperation agreement was signed, according to which the Lippe Hospital with its Detmold and Lemgo locations will become part of the OWL University Hospital of Bielefeld University .

At Klinikum Lippe in Lemgo the departments of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery, anesthesia and intensive care, are pharmacy , Women's Clinic, vascular surgery , geriatrics , neurology , neuroradiology , nuclear medicine , oncology and hematology , orthopedics and trauma surgery, pulmonology , psycho-oncology , radiology and radiation therapy available .
The child and adolescent psychiatry is located in the health center in Bad Salzuflen . This clinic includes day clinics in Bielefeld, Detmold, Herford-Hiddenhausen and Minden. The geriatric clinic operates a day clinic in the Bad Salzuflen health center and one in Lemgo.
