(6821) Ranevskaya is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 29, 1986 by the Ukrainian astronomer Lyudmila Georgievna Karachkina at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).

The asteroid was named after the Soviet actress Faina Georgievna Ranewskaja (1896-1984).
