(853) Nansenia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on April 2, 1916 by the Russian astronomer Sergei Ivanovich Beljavski the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in simeiz was discovered.
The asteroid is named after the Norwegian polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen .
