(87269) 2000 OO 67 is a Trans-Neptunian object discovered on July 29, 2000 at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory . Its extraordinarily eccentric orbit is remarkable . 2000 OO 67 approaches the sun to about 21 astronomical units (AU), but at the point furthest from the sun it reaches a distance of more than 1100 AU (approx. 0.02 light years ). The period of rotation is over 10,000 years.
In April 2005, 2000 OO 67 reached its perihelion and has been moving away from the sun since then.
