(955) Alstede is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 5, 1921 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after Lina Alstede Reinmuth , the wife of the discoverer.
