(999) Zachia is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 9, 1923 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after the German astronomer Franz Xaver von Zach .
