Hans Haubold von Einsiedel

Hans Haubold von Einsiedel (born August 17, 1654 in Wolkenburg ; † October 1, 1700 in Gersdorf ) was an Electoral Saxon court official and owner of several estates. He was Royal Polish Chamberlain and Elector of Saxony , Marshal of Prince Elector Johann Georg (1689), Chief Chamberlain of the widowed Electress Anna Sophie , most recently Privy Councilor in Dresden .

Hans Haubold came from the Scharfenstein line and was the son of Rudolf Haubold von Einsiedel (1616–1654) and Agnes von Schönberg. The father died shortly before he was born. On February 17, 1689, he married Anna Sophia von Rumohr (1671–1725), who ran the business after his death and until her eldest son came of age and administered the Seidenberg , Reibersdorf , Wolkenburg , Löbichau, Gersdorf and Ehrenberg estates . They lived in Dresden in a house on Seegasse . Her father had Oppurg Castle built for her as a widow's residence .

After her husband's death, Anna Sophia was also active in business. In 1704, she bought the mines and smelting works around Sangerhausen and Bottendorf from the Electoral Saxon-Polish chamber and mining company Samuel Friedrich Rappold and Johann Wilhelm Dinckler .

Hans Haubold von Einsiedel left the following children:

  • Johann George von Einsiedel (1692–1760), raised to the rank of imperial count in 1745
  • Cay Rudolph Haubold von Einsiedel (1693–1730), Electoral Saxon-Polish Chamberlain
  • Anne Sophie von Einsiedel (1694–1754), married to Johann Friedrich Carl Graf Bose
  • Wilhelmine Ernestine von Einsiedel (1695–1737), married to Adam Friedrich von Schönberg
  • Detlev Heinrich von Einsiedel (1698–1746), Electoral Saxon-Polish chamberlain and lord of the Seidenberg class , left no male heirs
