1,3-dichloro-2-butene is a chemical compound from the group of chlorinated hydrocarbons .
Extraction and presentation
1,3-Dichloro-2-butene can be obtained by reacting 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene and hydrogen chloride with copper (I) chloride as a catalyst. It is also a by-product of the manufacture of chloroprene from butenine .
