In the 28th season of the men's tennis Bundesliga in 1999 , the ETUF Essen team became German champions.

Season overview

The German champions 1999 were determined in two finals of the table top against the table runner-up, with each club having home rights once. The ETUF Essen was able to prevail in both games against TK Grün-Weiss Mannheim . In both games, after a 3: 3 intermediate result after the singles, only the final doubles pairing decided the winner. ETuF won the first leg on September 10th 6: 3 and the second leg on September 12th 5: 4.

The Oberhausen TC and the TC Amberg am Schanzl had to relegate to the 2nd Bundesliga.
