The 112th Infantry Division (ID) was a major unit of the army of the German Wehrmacht during World War II .
Division history
Operational areas:
- Homeland War Zone: December 1940 to June 1941
 - Eastern Front , Central Section: June 1941 to November 1943
 
The association was set up on December 10, 1940 in military district XII (Wiesbaden) as a division of the 12th wave . Parts of the 33rd and 34th Infantry Divisions contributed to this. Under the 2nd Army , she operated near Bobruisk in the autumn of 1941 , and then took part in the Battle of Kiev . In November it was subordinated to the 2nd Panzer Army and was initially near Stalinogorsk and then in 1942 near Brjansk and Oryol , from where the withdrawal took place after the Oryol operation . Then subordinated to the 4th Panzer Army , it was used against the Belgorod-Kharkov operation and immediately afterwards in the Battle of the Dnieper near Kiev . On November 2, 1943, the division was disbanded, and the remaining parts of the division were assigned to Corps Department B.
