14th Army (Wehrmacht)
The 14th Army / Army High Command 14 (AOK 14) was a major unit of the Army of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War . She was the high command of changing army corps and numerous special troops.
Constellations
It was set up on August 1, 1939 from Army Group Command 5 in Vienna under Colonel General Wilhelm List ( General Field Marshal from 1940 ), deployed in the area of Army Group South during the attack on Poland and then moved west on October 13, 1939 and transferred to Army High Command 12 renamed.
On November 18, 1943, the 14th Army was Colonel General Eberhard von Mackensen reorganized and for the defense of Italy in the area of Army Group C used. She surrendered on May 2, 1945 near the Alps under General of the Panzer Troop Joachim Lemelsen .
