The 155th Field Training Division was a German infantry division during World War II .

history

The division was set up on November 2, 1944 as a field training division for Army Group C in Northern Italy in Recoaro . On January 3, 1945 parts of the dissolved 20th Luftwaffen-Sturm-Division were added to the division. On February 11, 1945, the 155th Field Training Division was renamed the 155th Infantry Division . The field training divisions were used to train substitute teams for front divisions.
