52nd Field Training Division
The 52nd Field Training Division was a German infantry division during World War II .
Division history
The division was set up on December 3, 1943 from the staff of the 52nd Infantry Division and troops from other field training divisions, such as the 390th and 391st , for Army Group Center as part of the 23rd wave of deployment with stationing in Belarus . The formation was only once a shadow division and not as a proper division.
The division existed until its dissolution on April 12, 1944. The grenadier regiments were divided into the 131st , 31st and 331st Infantry Divisions . The staff assigned to Army Group North formed the staff for the 52nd Security Division .
