Groß-Born Infantry Division

The Groß-Born infantry division was set up in early August 1944 as a so-called shadow division in military district II .

The installation took place in the course of the 31st wave of installation at the Groß Born military training area in Pomerania . On August 25, 1944, the line-up was canceled and the existing parts of the division were used to line up the 570th People's Grenadier Division .

The structure of the so-called division was:

  • Artillery Battalion Groß-Born
  • Pioneer Battalion Groß-Born
  • Tank destroyer battalion Groß-Born
