The Jäger-Division Alpen was a German infantry division during World War II .

Division history

The Jäger Division Alpen was set up on March 25, 1945 in the course of the 34th wave of deployment as a so-called shadow division by the military districts VII and XVIII . The division was subordinated to the 1st Army on the Western Front . On April 12, 1945, the division was used to refresh the previously severely decimated 2nd Mountain Division and the 212th Infantry Division .
