from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Demba Infantry Division was a German infantry division during World War II .

At the end of January 1944, the infantry division was designated as a so-called shadow division in the course of the 24th wave of formation for the expansion of the 141st reserve division . The installation took place on the military training area south , near Demba in the southern Generalgouvernement of Poland .

The constellation was canceled in February and not completed. The 141st Reserve Division was disbanded. The already existing and equipped units were used from February 4, 1944 to refresh the previously heavily decimated 68th Infantry Division . The division staff was later used in Wahn for the staff of the newly established 64th Infantry Division .
