(2059) Baboquivari is an asteroid of the Amor type that on 16 October 1963 by the University of Indiana at Goethe Link Observatory in Brooklyn was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the mountain Baboquivari not far from the Kitt Peak Observatory , which is considered sacred for the Papago Indian tribe in the south of the USA and in northern Mexico.
