1995 SN 55 is a planetoid that was discovered by Spacewatch on September 20, 1995 at the Kitt Peak National Observatory and belongs to the group of centaurs . The asteroid orbits the sun in an eccentric orbit in 114 years . The eccentricity of its orbit is 0.66, whereby it is inclined almost 5 ° to the ecliptic . With an estimated diameter of almost 300 kilometers, it would be larger than Chariklo (diameter approx. 250 km) and thus possibly the largest centaur. Unfortunately, in 1995 SN 55 could only be observed for one month and seven days, so that it has been lost and it must be hoped that it will be rediscovered in a future sky survey .

To determine the influence of gravity through the large planets of our solar system , computer simulations of the orbits for selected centaurs in five typical areas were carried out; In addition to Chiron , the path behavior of 1995 SN 55 was also examined.
