As the last two teams in the 1st Bundesliga, Eintracht Braunschweig and TSV Mannheim will be relegated to their respective groups. This means that two teams per group are relegated: in the north the two Hamburg teams TG Heimfeld and Hamburger Polo Club , in the south the two Berlin teams SC Charlottenburg and Mariendorfer HC . ETuF Essen and Bremen HC in the north, as well as TuS Obermenzing and TC Blau-Weiss Berlin in the south are promoted from the regional leagues to the two groups .
