The 2010/11 season of the 2. Bundesliga women started on September 25, 2010 and ended on May 29, 2011.

This season there was only one relegated from the women's first division, as the first division was increased from 10 to 12 teams.

Relegated from the 1st Bundesliga were Harvestehuder THC and TuS Lichterfelde for the following season , both relegated to their respective groups.

Newcomers from the regional league for the following season were SC Charlottenburg and HC Wacker Munich in the south, and DHC Hanover and Uhlenhorst Mülheim in the north .
