The 3 Hudson Boulevard (also known as The GiraSole ) is the name of a super under construction skyscraper in New York City .

Construction of the building began in early January 2016 after the first plans were published in 2007. This has already been officially approved and is expected to open in 2019. The exact height and construction time were announced in January 2014. The height is 320 meters making it one of the ten tallest buildings in New York . That would make the tower one meter higher than the Chrysler Building . The building will have a total of 66 floors, where offices, a hotel and apartments will be housed. The architect is FX Fowle Architects . According to current plans, a freely accessible roof terrace should be located at a height of 310 meters. The building got its first name from its location on the western edge of Midtown Manhattan near the Hudson River . An extension of the New York subway has been under construction on this area since the end of 2008 . However, the construction work on 3 Hundson Boulevard can only begin once the construction work on the subway has been completed. Other tall buildings are planned not far from the skyscraper, such as the Manhattan West Towers , which will be 303 meters and 285 meters high.
The building is aiming for LEED Platinum certification and is expected to be completed in 2021.
