6.18.67 is the eighth and final short film by screenwriter , producer and director George Lucas and was produced in 1967 on the occasion of an offer from Columbia Pictures and producer Carl Foreman to finance two student films. These student films were supposed to document the production of MacKenna's Gold .

Lucas followed the production of MacKenna's Gold very distantly, as he could not emotionally identify with the making of the film, and ultimately carried this attitude into his short film. He completed his filmmaking work on June 18, 1967, and made that date the title of his silent film compiled from material from MacKenna's Gold . 6.18.67 is a 16 mm color film four and a half minutes long.

action

The film begins with a sunrise in the desert. The wind sweeps over the bushes, animals graze, and a huge wind turbine turns in the wind. An actor on a horse comes into the picture. As the camera approaches the film crew that has been protected with umbrellas against the sun, the word is cut (dt. Section ) heard in a whisper. A rainbow, weather lights and a torrent follow a time lapse with thickening clouds.

The sun goes down and the natural routine continues, regardless of the filmmakers' activities in the valley.
