Ashur-nirari I.
Aššur-nirari I. ( Ashhur-nirari ) was an Assyrian king, son of Ischme-Dagan II and successor of Šamši-Adad III. He ruled for 26 years. His name seems to be included in the synchronistic king list , but is only partially preserved.

Aššur-nerāri resumed construction work on the temples of Aššur , among other things he renewed the lead-paneled gate courtyard of the Aššur temple ( kisal abqāri ), built a new temple for Bel ibria and a sanctuary jointly consecrated to the moon and sun gods .
title
He carried the title Viceroy of Aššur ( išši'ak Aššur ).
He was an approximate contemporary of the Kassite ruler Agum II , who rebuilt the Temple of Marduk of Babylon .
