Peter Obresa (born August 6, 1960 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German ice hockey player and coach.

Player career

Obresa began playing ice hockey in the youth of the Mannheim ERC. In addition to ice hockey, he played baseball with the Mannheim Tornados since 1972 , where he was used in the first men's team until at least 1977. From 1979 to 1993 Obresa ( nickname : "Bresl" ) played for the Mannheim ERC, the current Adler Mannheim . In 494 games in the first Bundesliga , he scored a total of 219 goals and gave 270 assists as a striker of this club. In 1980 he was German champion in the ice hockey Bundesliga with MERC . He ended his active career in the 1993/1994 season in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga with the Frankfurt ESC . Peter Obresa is one of the most successful points collectors in the Mannheim club's history.

International

With the German national ice hockey team he took part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and in the 1989 World Ice Hockey Championship . There he scored two goals in a total of 13 games and gave one assist.

Coaching career

1994 assistant trainer with the Frankfurt Lions, from 02/97 to 10/98 chief trainer. From 11/98 until the end of the 1998/1999 season, he was in charge of ERC Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga. From November 1, 1999 to 2001 , Peter Obresa worked again as an assistant coach and head coach for the Frankfurt Lions before he switched to EC Bad Nauheim as head coach . In the 2005/2006 season he was the head coach of Wölfe Freiburg .
