A. Kitman Ho

Alex Kitman Ho (* in Hong Kong ) is an American film producer , production manager , second unit director and location manager .

Life

Born in Hong Kong, Ho immigrated to the United States with his family when he was five . There he grew up in Chinatown in New York City . After graduating from Goddard College in Vermont with a master in cinema, he continued his studies at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts continues. His career in the film business began as a location manager in the films The Warriors and The First Deadly Sin . He then worked as a production manager on projects like Heartland , A Daredevil in New York and Off Beat - Let the Bulls Dance . His first job as a producer was in 1981 with the film Die Lieblosen under the director Kathryn Bigelow , with whom he worked again 19 years later on The Weight of Water . Ho worked several times with director and producer Oliver Stone . Their greatest successes were the strips Born on July 4th and JFK - Tatort Dallas , for which both were nominated for an Oscar .
