The road leads from Loughborough, where the road A6 branches off to the north, crossing south of Nottingham The city that immediate A52 road and crosses Nottingham. The A614 road branches off north of this city . The A60 continues through Mansfield and a short distance through Derbyshire to Worksop , which is again in Nottinghamshire . Here the A57 road (with a short common route) is crossed. The A60 loses its character as a primary route and continues north to the A1 (M) motorway , which is crossed near its junction with the M18 motorway . The A60 continues for approximately 2 miles to its end in Doncaster.
