The A52 road ( English for road A52 ) is a 235 km long road in England, only partially designated as a primary route , which leads from Newcastle-under-Lyme to the North Sea .

The road begins in the west at a roundabout with the A34 road in Newcastle-under-Lyme and continues to the east after crossing Stoke-on-Trent , crossing south of Ashbourne the A515 road and west of Derby (Derbyshire) the A38 road . When crossing Derby it loses its character as a primary route, but resumes it east of Derby. After crossing the M1 motorway at junction 25, it bypasses Nottingham in the south on a wide bypass and crosses the A60 road . At Bingham the A46 road is crossed, west of Grantham the A1 road . The A52 passes Grantham and crosses the River Witham there , crosses the A15 road and at Swineshead the A17 road and reaches Boston , where the A16 road crosses . From there, the road follows the North Sea coast at a certain distance, reaches the seaside resort of Skegness , where the A158 road meets it, loses its character as a primary route and continues via Sutton-on-Sea to Mablethorpe , where it ends.
